The Reset Movement recently came to Las Vegas, hosted by Petra Productions, this is a review of the event held on Sept 19, 2013. The Reset Movement continues their events throughout the USA. More information, cities and tour dates are found on the Reset Movement website
What can I say about the RESET MOVEMENT? First of all, the people behind it are truly passionate about their mission. Beginning with the bus and truck drivers up to the road manager Matt Best and Founder Nick Hall of the Pulse Movement. I want to tell you of every detail of this event coming to Las Vegas, Nevada this past September 19, 2013. But I will only be able to give you some events of the miraculous things God has done on this blessed day.
It started with an email that asked if I wanted to take part in promoting and hosting the stop they planned to make or was hoping to make in Las Vegas. As soon as I heard what it was about of course I said yes! How can you say no to be part of pretty much creating a compass pointing the hearts of men to Jesus Christ?!?
Then came the challenging part; convincing people that they too would want to take part of this movement. Now, you must understand this is not a concert, not a conference, not a fundraiser. What is it then? It Is a gathering of speakers, artist of different genres and the audience or rather participants of any given city. The movement group led us into reaching deep into their souls to truly look at where we are in their walk with Jesus Christ and God.
All of the artists performed in unison. Synergy might be an even better word.
The night before the show I received a text stating 11 of the thirteen men that were going to help with the loading of the gear of the bands were not going to make it. So I went to work to find replacements. And God provided enough men to get the job done in a timely manner. The air conditioners in the dressing rooms were not working and only twenty tickets were sold on the morning of the show. One of the runners had to go to the emergency room. To top it off I slept two and a half hours the night before. It was definitely a miracle that I made it through the night, all the way to the end of clean up time which ended at approximately 2:30 am.
Now I will say a little about the artist and the evening.
If you do not know who Lacey Sturm is, formerly of Flyleaf, you should look her up. She gave her testimony and sang of a few songs from her former group. One of songs from her days with Flyleaf ‘All around you’ seem to really touch the crowd. She is all but 4’ 11 or so but what a voice and what passion! Look her up for yourself to see and hear for yourself.
Propaganda does not disappoint not even a little bit. His style reminds me a lot of Bob Marley. Yeah, a modern day Bob Marley! Check him out on Youtube.com. I can’t seem to find the words to describe him. But it is all good.
Then there was Morgan what a beautiful young lady, inside and out! She has a very sweet spirit. And I definitely cannot leave out that she has a voice as sweet and smooth as maple syrup!
Matt Gilman is one of the most beautiful souls I have ever met. And talk about humility…wow! The voice, passion, and delivery of his silky voice is, dare I say, perfect! His songs definitely leave an imprint of God’s holiness on your heart.
DJ Efechto has a way of becoming part of whoever he is spinning for in such a way that it seems as if they are one. I also had a down to earth connection with him. Almost as if he was there to just hang out with and serve us. Which he did both in a very humble and real way.
Rend Collective are really from the UK! They had real accents! At first I wasn’t sure what to expect considering I have only heard one song, ‘We are the Church’ by them on the radio. They are very energetic, creative, polished and talented musician and song writers. I hope they move closer to the states so that we can see them live more often.
Unfortunately, I missed Dave Lubben Maybe someone out there can tell me what they experienced with Dave Lubben. I’ll make it a point to stand right in front of the stage when he comes back to Las Vegas.
The speaker Nick Hall is without a doubt, serious about this mission to refocus the nation back to Jesus Christ. I for one am very grateful of Nick’s obedience to get this vision off the pages of his writing tablet and into reality. There’s so much positive energy that give you hope and a zest to live your life to the fullest for Christ Jesus.
